Killian Pacific is a leading, family-owned real estate developer in the Pacific Northwest with a 50 year legacy and a diverse portfolio across retail, industrial, and residential projects that they invest in for the long term. We created a concise and flexible brand identity system that works across a range of communications enabling Killian Pacific to confidently express their trusted position of igniting positive social impact in the communities that they invest in.

The identity program centers on a bespoke wordmark and monogram and has been paired with a dynamic brand pattern that was inspired by an abstract expression of urban planning. The pattern is built on a grid, with circles and squares representing people, and place—the concept of community.

The circle and squares found in the brand pattern show up across the communication system— in a digital environment the shapes offer a friendly cadence for the content.

The new look is bold, contemporary and durable. It speaks to the firm’s brand attributes of thoughtfulness, confidence and grounded discretion while instilling a clear expression of stability and trust.

The comprehensive brand identity toolkit inclusive of the brand positioning, messaging and usage guidelines to allow for consistent, on-going development and implementation across all touchpoints. The success of this effort has led to an ongoing partnership in helping Killian Pacific use the power of placemaking identity on additional projects including The Box Factory in Bend, Oregon and Ninebark— a modern, multi-family community on the banks of the Columbia in Washington
