This is one of those projects whose content and intended audience was so different from other projects— it gave us an opportunity to bring a level of elevated design and sophistication to a topic that is often treated as spectacle. Designed as a small handbook, The Numerology Handbook serves as a codex to understand and decipher numerical codes and patterns.

The decorative and solid sets of Obsidian served as a compliment throughout including dramatic drop caps to open each chapter.
Hoffler’s Surveyor was chosen as the body throughout the book for its characteristic cartography-inspired lettering and ability to serve so many layers of content hierarchy.

The illustrations throughout the book celebrate the relationship between numerology and astrology. Each of the three section openers feature large, numerical illustrations composed of thousands of manually placed circles printed in a spot gold metallic ink on a solid field of a deep midnight blue.
Additional full page illustrations throughout Numerology Handbook combine vintage public domain astrological maps as a textural element, combined with stylized profiles and typographic numerical illustrations to reinforce the overall concept of the book.
