Norman Rockwell Museum Book

I have to admit, prior to working on this project, I didn’t know much about Norman Rockwell or his work. It’s always great when you can have the opportunity to learn while working on an assignment. This title will be out later in the year. This project had the very familiar challenge of fitting a lot of content into a relatively short page count, the complexity and the detail of the art further added to the overall challenge of giving the work enough space, but making sure that the content and referring images had a clear relationship that was easy to follow. Typographically, I kept the palette simple and straight-forward with a nod to the past by using a combination of Neutraface and Archer and kept to a fairly rigid grid, another nod to the original illustration manuals from the Famous Artists School.
